About this event
This is the title of an exhibit at OLY AHA, the museum of the Olympia Arts & Heritage Alliance. Join League members on a short, guided tour created to commemorate the 140th anniversary of actions against the Chinese which took place here (and across the western US) in 1885 & 1886. This is an opportunity to learn about racial exclusion and discrimination in our history, as we become increasingly aware of how the present is mirroring the past. The small exhibit will close April 12.
Entrance to the museum is free, but donations are appreciated. At 2:30 you are invited to join a 1-1 ½ mile walking tour of downtown sites of Chinese heritage. Feel free to join either or both tours! (Parking is free downtown on the week-ends.)
