Let’s Honor Black History Month together! Black History Month 2026 • New Life Baptist Church Pop-Up Black History Museum. Feel free to bring or invite a friend, spouse, or family member who is interested in discussing and defending democracy.

LWVTC Members - Join us to celebrate Black History Month TOGETHER with the New Life Baptist Church and Thurston Community.

We have two opportunities for League members this year!

Join us for a guided tour beginning at 12:30 and stay for a Conversation for Democracy to get into “good trouble” as the Congressman John Lewis urged. Our Conversations for Democracy are more than just talk – We ask ourselves the question, “What must we do to meet this moment?” And determine how we each can take action.

We know that LWVTC members have outstanding skills, and together we can contribute small, targeted, meaningful actions that add up to support democracy.
