Annual Member Planning Meeting

Opportunity to be part of Setting League Future

On Saturday, January 25th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Thurston League members will be asking:

  • What do we commit ourselves to?
  • How will we put your values into Action?

This annual meeting will take place at The Olympia Center, Room #100,  222 Columbia St. NW Olympia

PLEASE COME...

During this planning meeting, participants will learn about the LWVUS recommended program: The Campaign for Making Democracy Work.  They will also identify what the Thurston League can do locally to make a positive impact in our County. Proposals that come out of this meeting will go to the LWVTC Board.  The Board will then prepare them for a vote by the membership at the Annual Meeting in May.

By taking part in the Thurston County planning, you will also h, ave your voice heard and contribute to discussion of issues of importance to our local community.

PLEASE BRING:

·      Yourself (and perhaps a friend or two)

·      2019-2020 LWV Thurston County Handbook & Membership Directory. This book includes  membership and leader contacts, LWVTC principles, positions, bylaws, and other valuable information.

Remember to RSVP on this calendar page.

1. We will have the opportunity to make Study and Action recommendations to the National League

2. We will propose our Local Program for the 2020-2021 year…

During this planning meeting, members are invited to bring up any issue they want to commit themselves to. Issues are guided not only by what needs doing. More importantly, what are members willing to put “sweat equity” into – time and energy.  If it’s important, it’s important to volunteer to make it happen.

We need as many LWV-TC members as possible to be part of this vital League work.
