Thurston County Sustainable Development Planning

The League was invited by the Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) to participate in a countywide effort to establish policies for sustainability in each jurisdiction's local comprehensive plan. This effort is consistent with various LWV adopted policies (see http://www.lwvthurston.org/positions.html).

The Board has approved affiliation with a coalition, the Sustainable Roundtable of Thurston County (SRTC), to enhance the League's opportunity to engage in this planning effort and support League policies. For more information about the TRPC sustainable development project, see http://www.trpc.org/regionalplanning/sustainability/Pages/ RegionalPlanforSustainableDevelopment.aspx. For more information about the SRTC, see http://www.sustainabilityroundtable.net/.
